How was the heat output on the stove ? Could you bring it up to high temperature using the pellets ? (Hot enough to get the stove paint smoking ?)
How about exhaust smoke ? Pellets are usually pretty dry. Did you get a clean burn with little to no smoke ?
I'm curious to see what kind of burn times you can get with the basket. Most pellet stoves use a hopper feed, and a small burner grate. You may be on to a new alternative to the hopper feed system if the batch feed system burns as hot and cleanly.
