I want to see her install the threaded rods. She has to be kneeling on the ground doing the assembly. You know, just like how it would be done out in the field. Real life situation.

It's really not that bad. It can take awhile however it is much easier, to just take nut off one side, push it through and then tighten the top. Done like that it is pretty painless.

All kidding aside, the stove pipe is very difficult the first time, after that it gets much easier to the point that by the 3rd or 4th time it takes about 30 seconds.

Have you given any consideration to wind affecting the stove pipe?

Others in this thread, earlier, have expressed concern about this very issue regarding other tipis and tent tipis and hunter's tents.

Here is an example:

It is interesting how he used the wire loops.

In a later video, when he had got his GoLite Shangri-La 4 and Ti-Goat stove jack, he reported the wind tore at the edge of the stove jack he mended and added Permatex to the edge. He said nothing is holding the stovepipe, except the "stove jack" and driving the legs of the stove down into the ground.

He describes 30 - 40 mph winds, which may be an "average" in actual conditions.



Of course, when you are inside any tipi or tent in snow you keep the snow off the sides of the tent.

I have seen photos of "red hot" stovepipes.
