Many people discard items that have broken zippers. I recently needed a new large zipper slide for my motorcycle jacket. I could not find anything at the local big box fabric stores so I searched the web. This company in New York had exactly what I needed and was inexpensive. I also ordered to length and color an entire zipper for a nice ski jacket that had some broken teeth. The customer service was very attentive and friendly. I recommend trying to repair or replace a zipper before discarding your expensive garment, bag, or tent ;)

My wife recently taught me how to repair a zipper on my jacket. The zipper kept coming undone at the bottom

She said use a pair of pliers to squeeze the part of the zipper that slides onto the little dohicky on the left side bottom part of the zipper. I suppose I should do a photo if that's not understood. Let me know. :)
