Bud bottle size different?
Re: Bud bottle size different?
Thank you, Zelph. Appreciate that.
Should be enough to satisfy the guys at work.
Just a hobby and glad I got the new bottle to work out for the two piece. Will have some fun hiking in the spring with these.

Looks like you have a good attempt at WhiteBox Stoves.
you need the 16oz. Bud bottles. If the altered the thickness of those bottles, I am not aware of it. I have a few older bottles that I've been saving for a rainy day

Hey RR, are you working on any new stove designs? I've been intrigued with a small stove for use with charcoal. One of the things we find along hiking trails is the remains of campfires. What remains is charcoal. Charcoal is the remains of wood that has been heated to a point where all the impure volatiles have been burned off in the form of smelly, sooty, smoky yukks that cause teary, irritated eyes and nose. That remaining charcoal if dry, can easily be put into a wood burning stove and ignited

No pics of the side jets at the time. Maybe later this weekend I can fire one up.
Close to white box design but mine are 2" tall with 21 jets, 1/16 inch holes.
At 30°F it takes a bit more than an ounce to boil 2 cups. I'm not the tester you are with yours Zelph. I just know they work and are fun to make and use.

No new stoves, Zelph. I am still in deer hunting mode for another two weeks. Then I have to work on my daily commuter car as I am using my van currently. Fortunately, fuel prices are plummeting.

What size pot are you using with the stove? I made a stainless steel pot support today to test with a 2" tall stove, worked well. Give me your mailing address and I'll send it to you. I used it to support a 4 cup, 15cm imusa mug.KLC wrote:No pics of the side jets at the time. Maybe later this weekend I can fire one up.

RR, there is a big buck near by that stays within the campground out of harms way

Here you go Zelph. Ended making 15/for the guys at work and they provided 45 bottles. Left me a few to pay for getting a press of my own. Next step would be a drill press.
Zelph I appreciate the offer of the pot stand, if your certain you want to give it away send me a meg and I will reply with an address. Very generous of you.
Hope you enjoyed the eye candy. These are homemade with hand tools and maybe not the best but I am proud of them.
