what was the potstand (from the benchtop) height?

that's the one that i told you came really close on 1/2oz of methyl hydrate (at 1 3/4" potstand height).

nice how between your last two posts the board flipped to the next page. ;) i sizzled a bit.

It was a short zapp!!!!

1.5 inch pot stand with an aluminum 5" dia. pot with 2 cup capacity.(couldn't find my 2.5 cup pot)

Many things come into play when testing a stove. Many will say "I can't get your stove to boil 2 cups with 1/2 oz." blah blah blah. :D

Do it my way!!!!!

All burners have been tested.

All burners were successful at boiling 2 cups of water with 1/2 ounce of denatured alcohol.

A 1.5 inch pot stand was used to acheive the boil.

A 5 inch diameter aluminum pot with a 2 cup capacity was used.

All conditions were at optimum.

All stoves are of excellent craftsmanship.

Daren!!! welcome to the world of stove making :D

I'll send all the specs in a PM tomorrow.

The one I chose is a weiner!!!!(Skidsteer take note)

It boiled 2 cups in 9.5 min. using 1/2 ounce of denatured alcohol. Continued to boil till flame out for an additional 1.25 min.

Starting water and room temperature was at 70 degrees. Tests were done in the kitchen lab. Shhhhh, mums the word.
9.5 minute boil with an additional 1.25 minutes?

It's a weiner! :D

If he posts my results you'll see how they come close to the boil times of the ion. Daren can give some info on materials used in construction of the burners.

Daren, you'll see how your tests compare to mine. You'll see that your fuel is doing just fine. Use the 1.5 inch potstand and a lightweight pot. I'll post some photos when I get time. I'll give the weight of the pot also and show a photo of the measuring cup for the fuel.

Allen, Skids and I make Weiners so does DarenN :D It's a funny between Skids an myself.
