Is it a 2 speed fan? I like the use of a 9 volt battery, my favorite

25 min was a long time and lots of fuel used. Were you ok with that?

Reduce the air speed to conserve fuel and increase efficiency.

that is the pot i use when i normally have it going and it is pretty much filled to the rim then. it is a one speed fan and i did not have that much wood. I am a scout and when i get this going i have a whole army of little kids getting me wood for hot chocolate so that normally isn't a problem and with the extra wood it takes a shorter time.

As long as you have a steady stream of wood coming in , no complaints from the troops. Bring on the hot chocolate and the marshmallows. You can then teach them to pound some iron that's been heated on your newly designed forge. Nice design Lite hiker. I like the size of it. Do you have a photo of the stoves bottom? What protects the fan?

here is the bottom. there is no protection other than the air between the two walls

It's interesting to see that radiant heat does not melt your fan. Nice design, to keep heat away from it.

there s not that much radiant heat because the fan is always blowing cold air up but if you take the fan away it get really hot really quick.

I was under the impression infra red heat/radiant heat was not affected by air movement. An example would be the suns radiant heat waves not being affected by the upper atmosphere winds and even the ones closer to the surface of the earth.

Have you made any changes to your set-up since you posted the video?

It could be that the fan is cooling itself with the air it is moving, compensating for the radiant heat. It might melt if it was off when the fire was going hot.

thats what i figured so if the fires going so is the fan. Even if i turned off the fan without it there is not enough oxygen for the fire to keep burning.
