Re: Coffee
BOT..The Tilly coffee didn't look like it had sold at all.I don't know if it has a pull date but know it's been in there for over a year with no reduction in price. To me it isn't worth buying just for the can..

Re: Coffee
Coffee looked weak coming out of the pot. What is your opinion?
I used to just toss the grounds in cold water, bring to a boil, take off the fire, wait a few min. and pour in 1 cup cold water, settles the grounds to bottom and then pour off the coffee into a cup. 3 or 4 grounds never hurt me. Kinda crunchy/grity

Re: Coffee
I like my coffee darker.
Years of using a french press teach you to stop before that last gulp so cowboy coffee shouldn't be a problem. I have a couple different screens used for tea. I think the round one would be best since 1/2 is about the size of a coffee scoop.

Re: Coffee
Well, it is a good thing that you are preparing the coffee by using spring water. I am also preparing the coffee with water purifier. I have recently purchased a device called zip water filter which is not only helping to filter the water but it is also helping in killing the germs from the water as well as it is also helping me in cooking tea, coffee and other food as well as washing.

It's still not too late to review this method so you've got it right before heading out for a weeks worth of trail time.sudden wrote:I will be making my coffee this way with both of my zelph wood stoves![]()
I'll be heading out week after next.

Re: Coffee
I'm an expert now. Cowboy coffee really is the best tasting imo. I have my clever coffee dripper and my aero press (both excellent) but it really is simpler to put the grounds in the cup and fill it with hot water. How strong you like it dictates how long you wait to start drinking.zelph wrote:It's still not too late to review this method so you've got it right before heading out for a weeks worth of trail time.sudden wrote:I will be making my coffee this way with both of my zelph wood stoves![]()

Gadjets will always be a part of our lives
coffee presses add activity to evening/morning meals. Not me but lots of folks out there.
Seems to make a big difference how coffee is prepared. Shaken, not stirred type of thing
Pressed not cubed
The cubes are a good idea for lots of folks though, I'm sure. Thanks for the link
